Linux x86_64 AppImage.
New
- Library works while output is live: browse to another folder and use Play on Layer. A clip banked while output is live gets its thumbnail after output stops. Locate Missing Media, relink and Prepare still need output stopped.
- Save Template and Save As work while output is live. Quitting waits for a save in progress. Opening a template still needs output stopped.
- AV1 clips play, thumbnail and Prepare. Hardware decoding where the GPU supports AV1.
- Hardware-decoded H.265 and AV1 stay on the GPU on supported AMD graphics, like H.264. Includes 10-bit HDR and MKV/WebM files. H.264 from MKV too.
- Phone HDR video (HLG and HDR10) shows correct colour, converted to SDR for playback, thumbnails and Prepare.
- Phone photos display upright.
- Hap HDR (HapH) clips play when tagged HLG or HDR10.
- Black-level pattern on the Calibration tab of Output Setup, for setting the display's range.
Fixed
- Keys, file drops and focus changes could be lost after the app stalled.
- Losing the output display could move output onto another screen. Output now hides, returns after a brief display blink, and closes if the display stays gone.
- Output could miss its display after a replug that renamed the display.
- 4K hardware-decoded clips could drop frames.
- Prepare was offered for still images.
- A clip launch or scene switch queued for the next beat or bar could fire between beats after an OSC
/beator a Tap tempo tap. - Launches queued before a Tap or Set BPM tempo change kept the old timing.
- With Clip fade on, launching another clip before the previous launch had shown a frame blanked the layer instead of holding the old image.
- With Clip fade on, launching a clip during a fade jumped to one of the two fading clips before fading to the new one.
- A crafted MKV or WebM in a browsed folder could trigger an out-of-bounds read in GStreamer (GStreamer-SA-2026-0089).
Included components
- GStreamer 1.28.8, FFmpeg 8.1.3 (LGPL), dav1d 1.5.4, GLib 2.86.0, Snappy 1.2.2.
- Requires glibc 2.36 or newer (Debian 12).
Known limitations
- Hardware decoding tested only with VA-API on AMD. NVDEC and V4L2 untested.
- Keeping frames on the GPU is qualified only on a Radeon 780M.
- HDR video plays in SDR with compressed highlights. Tested with Pixel 10 HLG at 4K30.
- No camera input.
